Hi, I’m an escort. Its the second time in my life I’ve worked as an escort – last time was about 13 years ago. The two experiences couldn’t be more different, to be honest.
Last time, I was trying to make ends meet as a single parent of a two year old. I was living in a rough area and really wanted to move somewhere nicer. With having a small child, I needed a part time, well paid job and escorting seemed ideal. I joined an agency and bought a mobile phone with my first earnings. At the time, the escorts earned £130 for an hour and a half. This sounded great but by the time I paid out what needed to be paid out, I certainly wasn’t pocketing that much! In order to work I needed to pay the agency £40, a driver £10 per appointment and a babysitter £10 per appointment. With the remaining £70 I had to ensure that I had nice underwear, of course, and I also relieved the stress of the work by unwinding with a bottle of wine after an appointment. There were many times that I couldn’t get a babysitter and there were many weeks where there was simply no work. My main problem was that I couldn’t accommodate – I could only take appointments that were outcalls. Eventually, the stress of it all got too much for me and I ended up walking out of an appointment, very upset. Another problem was that I didn’t find the clients attractive. I was 30 years old and I liked men who were my age and younger and most of the clients were between 40 and 60.
My second experience, my current work as an escort, couldn’t be more different. I started doing it because my sex drive has rocketed in the last couple of years and I don’t get the opportunity to go out dating much. I tried internet dating but never found anyone who wanted to go past a first date. It became very frustrating! I escort now because I want to. Sure, the money is handy. My taste has grown more expensive as I’ve got older so its nice to be able to buy nice things without having to save too hard. I’m saving up to move again but this time I’m not in a particular hurry. I don’t have the worry of an agent to pay, a babysitter and driver to find and pay and I don’t even have to leave my house as I can accommodate now. The men I meet are lovely. I honestly haven’t had a single client I didn’t like. I love sex too so its a win-win situation for me this time round.
Looking back, I wish I hadn’t escorted when I was younger because my heart wasn’t in it. My sister escorted too and she loved it. She had quite a good base of regulars and I had none. This time, I have regulars. I think the difference is definitely to do with my enthusiasm this time! I only escorted for a few months last time. I gave it up and became a stripper, which I loved. This time, I get quite disappointed if I haven’t got an appointment booked for every week day. This week and the next few should be quite quiet because of the festivities so I pity the odd client I do get – I’ll be pouncing on him!!
In conclusion, I would have to agree that enjoying or not enjoying adult work, does indeed depend on the escort’s situation and mindset. If a lady asked my advice about whether or not to escort, I would give her two pieces of advice. Stay safe and make sure you have a high sex drive.
